August 7th Concert - TONIGHT! Hands up who has their tickets?? Pat yourselves on the back. Everyone else - you haven't got long! Put it in the diary, write it in the calendar, buy a ticket online if you so desire, but make sure you're there! Our shiny new microphones will be making their debut, there will be exciting new music, silly choreography if you're lucky, and tea and coffee. It's going to be a really great night, we'd love to see you there! Here's the flyer as promised (click to see a bigger version). Print it out, put it on the fridge, leave it on a park bench, stick it on your forehead so you have to explain it to everyone who asks... The possibilities are endless.
WINNERS 2010 Eisteddfod By The Bay! That's right, the news is out. After a tough battle with choirs from all over Melbourne, we were very excited to be awarded First Place in this year's Eisteddfod By The Bay! It was a fantastic night with lots of that warm, supportive atmosphere that choirs are so good at creating. It was fantastic to perform for fellow singers, as well as listening to everybody else perform. Congratulations to everyone who was there on the night! New Concert Coming Up! Yes, it's true. We've got another big concert up our sleeves. August 7th, 7pm at St Alfreds Anglican Church (cnr Koonung and Springfield roads, Blackburn). New Gigs Listed! We've been busily confirming some gigs for the next few months, including Singfest in QLD, Melbourne's Get Vocal Festival. Check out the gigs page for all the details! Happy Birthday To Us! Yes, it's official - Blue Notion have been singing together for a whole year. One year old, and already we're walking, talking and eating solid food! ...But really, it's been an amazing twelve months. So far we've gained a tenor, performed at two eiesteddfods, won one of them, workshopped with two world class a cappella groups, performed with another one, put on two concerts and recorded our first CD. Our first year has been insane and wonderful. Thank you to everyone who has played a part so far. We can't wait for the next one!
Farewell Bathtets, Hello Blue Notion! That's right, in case you haven't heard already, we have a new name! You may have been wondering "where have my Bathtets gone?" Well, worry no more! We are still alive and well, although we will now be known as Blue Notion. Same group, same funky a cappella music, we're just answering to a different name. Concert coming soon! It's full steam ahead in Bluenotion land with the concert on the horizon. Book your tickes here, no online booking fees apply! Please bring your friends along and help us draw a crowd to celebrate our first year together as a group. Bathtets Live Monday, December 21st 7pm, at St. Alfreds, corner of Springfield and Koonung road, Blackburn. We're hoping to put on our first full length show, so please come along, drag others along, and help us raise a bit of money to buy microphones!
